Regional Senior Women’s Fours Champions

Congratulations to Karen Campbell, Raylene Austin, Sandra Gill and Gwen Saunders on their outstanding victory in the Region Senior Women’s Fours over the weekend. The team from Club North Haven showed exceptional skill and determination to claim the regional title.

The girls faced challenging conditions on Saturday at South West Rocks, with warm temperatures and windy weather testing their abilities throughout the day. Despite the difficult conditions, they maintained their composure and strong performance to advance to the final.

Championship Victory

Yesterday at Kempsey, the team faced Nambucca Heads in the final match. In a hard-fought contest, Karen, Raylene, Sandra and Gwen defeated their opponents 18-12 to secure the regional championship. It was a well-deserved victory that showcased their talent and teamwork under pressure.

The win is a testament to their dedication to the sport and the countless hours of practice that have led to this moment. Playing back-to-back days in challenging conditions requires not just skill, but also mental toughness and physical endurance – qualities this team demonstrated in abundance.

State Finals in July

The team now advances to the State Finals in Dubbo this July, where they’ll compete against other regional winners from across New South Wales. It’s an exciting opportunity to represent Club North Haven on the state stage and test their abilities against the best teams in the competition.
