Joint Winners Declared on Day 4 of the Riverview Carnival

Day 4 of the Riverview Carnival Ends with Historic Joint Winners

Day 4 of the Riverview Carnival on Ladies Day came to a dramatic conclusion when a late storm brought play to a halt before the final could be completed. With a capacity field of 192 players battling it out across the day, the competition was fierce – but the weather had other plans.

In what marks a first for the Riverview Carnival, joint winners were declared for the event. Congratulations to both winning teams:

Lil Russell, Kathy York, Michelle De Joux and Karen Campbell from North Haven, Charlestown and Kempsey

Janelle Pryke, Sue McPherson, Chris Kilby and Mary-Anne Buckley from North Haven

It was a fantastic day of bowls despite the late interruption, and both teams thoroughly deserve their share of the top prize. A capacity field of 192 competitors is a testament to the popularity of the Riverview Carnival, and the standard of play throughout the day was outstanding.

Well done to all players who took part in Day 4, and congratulations once again to our joint winners on making Riverview Carnival history.
