Locals Supporting Locals!

Club North Haven is dedicated to supporting the local community, with General Manager Tim recently attending the Hastings Regional Club Grants – Category 1 presentation at Panthers Port Macquarie. It was a proud moment for the club as they handed over two significant cheques to deserving causes. The first cheque of $13,000 was awarded to the Mid North Coast Community College for their Road Ready youth program. This program focuses on helping disadvantaged young adults obtain their learner’s permit and essential driving hours while also enhancing their employability skills through professional training in various industries.

In addition, Club North Haven also presented a cheque of $12,000 to Headspace for their Budget Bites Program. This unique initiative is a 4-week hospitality, life-skills, and health program aimed at improving mental health and overall well-being by providing participants with skills to manage the cost-of-living crisis. Supported by industry-qualified chefs, this program equips individuals with entry-level hospitality and financial literacy skills, leading to increased employment opportunities and positive health outcomes.

The successful funding of these programs would not have been possible without the dedication and commitment of the Patrons and Board of Directors of Club North Haven, who played a significant role in supporting these community initiatives through the Club Grants scheme. These generous contributions showcase the club’s ongoing commitment to making a positive impact in the local area and supporting those in need.
